The Sloatsburg Fire Department is one of the 26 fully volunteer fire departments in Rockland County, New York. We provide fire protection services to the Village of Sloatsburg and surrounding Unincorporated Town of Ramapo.

Responding to over 120 emergency calls a year, our responses range from structural fires, automatic fire alarms, vehicle accidents & extrications, brush fires, and hazardous materials incidents.

Our nearly 60 active members unselfishly and proudly dedicate their extra time to ensure the safety and comfort of the Village of Sloatsburg's visitors and residents. Aside from responding to emergency calls, our volunteers train weekly and routinely attend full training courses at the Rockland County Fire Training Center. The expertise and professionalism of Rockland's Volunteer Firefighters undoubtedly saves tax payers millions of dollars each year.
