15-500 - (1931-1964)

1931 American LaFrance

The very first fire apparatus owned by the Sloatsburg Fire Department. Purchased in 1931 for $5,000, 15-500 served over 30 years as a front-line engine responding to several thousand calls for emergencies.

The members of the Sloatsburg Fire Department have gone to great lengths to keep 15-500 in working order and to this day, she is on display for Parades and Funeral Details. Efforts are currently underway to restore her back to her original state.
